Description

Tugboat Mickey Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Take it easy!" The fearless tugboat captain Mickey backs away from an inebriated pelican in this spectacular 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing. The bird accidentally swallowed some of his wood varnish and is stumbling all over the place, about to knock the mouse off the mast to the deck below despite his best efforts. This hilarious moment can be found at about the 1:51 mark in the classic Clyde Geronimi-directed theatrical short. The expressive full figure has been rendered masterfully in graphite with color pencil and is noted as 52 in the lower right. Mickey's full figure measures about 4.5'' x 6'' and is noted as 52 in the lower right. Very Good condition with light age-related toning and minor edge and handling wear.
