Tugboat Mickey Goofy Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Oh my gosh! A shipwreck! Ahoy! All hands on deck!" Mickey sounds the alarm - the steamship 'Gigantic' has run aground in this Clyde Geronimi-directed short, released on 4/26/40. Mickey is the captain of a tugboat, and Goofy and Donald make up what may well be the most inept pair of crewmen in maritime history. Here's a great drawing of Goofy from Tugboat Mickey. Rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Goofy stands 5.5" in the great piece noted as number 4 in the lower right. Edge wear and mild age-related toning.
