Trick or Treat Original Artwork and Studio Model Sheet Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1952/84). This lot is comprised of three items commemorating June Foray's (1917 - 2017) voice work as Witch Hazel in the 1952 Disney Studio short Trick or Treat. First is a sheet from the script labeled "Narration: 'Trick or Treat.'" Below that, (Jack) Hannah is named as Director, Foray as Talent, and it's dated June 21, 1951. A few lines of text are given and beneath them is an original pencil sketch of Witch Hazel with Donald Duck's nephew Huey. The art is in a small metal frame measuring 10" x 8". Next in the lot is an original signed drawing of Witch Hazel by longtime Disney animator Bill Justice. This piece is in a 15" x 12" frame and on the back there is another Bill Justice sketch on his personal WED Imagineering note paper of Hazel dated Sept 15th 1984. Third is an original Disney Studio "Witch Hazel" model sheet from the production of Trick or Treat. It's printed on 14" x 11" photo paper. These are three fantastic pieces commemorating June's first big start portraying cartoon witches. In fact, only a few years after her work on this short, Warner Brothers hired her to voice their version of Witch Hazel, a character that continues on to the present day. All pieces show some sign of light handling wear and age; otherwise, condition is Very Good. From the June Foray Collection.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
