    Description

Trader Mickey Pluto Animation Drawings Sequence of 6 (Walt Disney, 1932). Mickey Mouse's trip to Africa to sell and trade goods runs into trouble when he and Pluto are abducted by a tribe of cannibals, in this David Hand-directed cartoon, released on 8/20/32. These six original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings show a trussed-up Pluto as the cannibal chef prepares him for "dinner." The sequence starts at the 2:37 mark. The graphite drawings are numbered 7 and 8 (fire effects, each about 4.5" wide); #23 (Pluto tied up, 4.75" x 2.25"); #47 chef with salt shaker (5" x 4.75"); #60 (chef with apple for Pluto's mouth, 5" x 5"); and #83 (tied-up Pluto with apple in his mouth, 4.25" x 2.25" with added red pencil highlight). The last four drawings work together as sets of two. Paper toning and minor handling wear, with three pegholes reinforced. Overall condition is Very Good.
