    Description

Trader Mickey Mickey Mouse and Native Chief Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1932). Mickey and Pluto are captured by a tribe of cannibals, but Mickey avoids becoming a meal with the help of musical instruments, in this early short, directed by Dave Hand. Here are two spectacular vintage production drawings from this early Mickey short. The first is a near perfect Mickey pose measuring 2.5" x 2" rendered in graphite on 12-field, 2 peg hole animation paper with the number 11 in the lower right corner and the number 14 circled just below the image. The second is of the cannibal chief reading Ballyhoo Magazine (a precursor to MAD) around the 1:34 minute mark. This delightful production drawing is in graphite, measures 5" x 4" on 12-field, 2 peg hole animation paper, and is numbered 102 in the upper right corner. Both show minor handling; otherwise Condition is Fine.
