    Description

Trader Mickey Background Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932).
Trader Mickey was a short subject film produced by Walt Disney and released in the summer of 1932. While taking a shipload of musical instruments along the African coast, Mickey and Pluto are captured by cannibals. They plan to eat them until Mickey trades the instruments for their freedom, then engages in a wild jam session. From Trader Mickey we have a beautifully detailed layout drawing of the cannibal village. The piece was created using graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper and noted as "SCENE- 2" in the bottom center of the page. The drawing is in Very Good condition with tiny pinholes in the upper right and left corners away from the image area. Vintage animation art in this condition is considered very rare.
