    Description

    Toy Story Buzz and Woody Sketch by John Lasseter (Pixar/Walt Disney, 1995). Toy Story was a truly original and momentous occasion in the history of animation. Director John Lasseter got his training in animation from three of Walt Disney's legendary Nine Old Men -- Eric Larson, Frank Thomas, and Ollie Johnston, while attending CalArts character animation program. His interest in computer-generated animation led him away from the Disney Studios to the formation of Pixar who produced the first-ever computer-animated feature, Toy Story. Here's a rare sketch of the main Toy Story characters, Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody, from the hand of Mr. Lasseter, drawn in black and red markers on board. The inscription above his signature reads, "To Infinity and Beyond!" The art is framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 18" x 12". There are a few scratches on the Plexiglas front, but the art is in Fine condition. From the Spike and Mike Festival of Animation Archives.
