    Description

Tom Slick Storyboard and Dialog Group (Jay Ward, 1967). "Tom Slick...Tom Slick... Let me tell you why... he's the best of all good guys. Tom Slick! Tom Slick!" These are the words to the opening of this segment of the George of the Jungle series on ABC-TV. There were 17 Tom Slick episodes made for the series. Here is a rare 24-page original set of hand-drawn storyboards for the "The Badyear Blimp" episode. It's marked Tom Slick #16, but this show ended up being the 15th episode, originally airing on 12/16/67. Page one is an amazing layout of the race grounds with dialogue that reads "Ann'r: Welcome to the Muncie Indiana Fairground and the start of the Buster Baines Memorial Blimp Race!" These 24 pages include images and dialogue for Tom Slick, Gertie Growler, Marigold, Baron Otto Matic, Clutcher, and even the "YAY" crowd. Graphite and some color pencil highlights on 12 field animation paper. Also, a copy of eight pages of dialogue for this episode is included. This may be the only complete set of storyboards for a Tom Slick cartoon that exists! Minor handling and edge wear, some tape residue. Good overall condition.
