Description
Todd McFarlane's Spawn Spawn Animation Drawing (HBO, c. 1997-99). From the cult classic animated series Todd McFarlane's Spawn, presented is a magnificent original animation/layout drawing featuring the eponymous protagonist in a great full-figure pose. Based on the the original comics from Image, the series won an Emmy Award in 1999 for Outstanding Animation Program (Longer Than One Hour). Series producer Eric Radomski, also known for his work on Batman: The Animated Series, reflected in a retrospective interview that "Spawn was a personal triumph for me. Very rarely do artists get the opportunity to have as much uncensored creative freedom as I did at HBO on Spawn." Spawn measures a substantial 9.25" tall on the pan animation paper measuring 10.5" x 12.5". The sheet is extended with a horizontal line of tape. Rendered in graphite and color pencil, this excellent drawing features camera pan notes, and it bears an official HBO Animation seal. Numbered A1, the drawing shows minor handling and edge wear with light tearing in the upper left peghole. Light paint debris on the right edge, and the condition overall is Very Good.More information about HBO Production Artist.
