DescriptionThe Wayward Canary Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932). This short featured Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto and a canary Mickey has just given to Minnie. The canary has many hidden babies and they get into trouble after bathing in ink instead of water; they make a real mess out of framed pictures of Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford! This is a rare original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing of Mickey Mouse as he runs through the greenhouse, in an attempt to save one of the babies being chased by a hungry cat. You can see this image at the 5:53 mark. This short was directed by Bert Gillett and released to theaters on 11/12/32. Art is in graphite with nice blue and red pencil highlights. Overall image of 5" x 4.5". Crossed-out notes in the left border, away from the image. Minor handling and edge wear; Fine condition.
