The Vanishing Private Donald Duck Marching Sequence Animation Drawings Group of 6 (Walt Disney, 1942). "Th' Army's not the Army anymore... it's better than it's ever been before!" sings Private Donald Duck in his second Army short. This short was directed by Jack King and had a story written by Carl Barks. It was released on 9/25/42, starring Donald Duck and Sergeant Pete. This is a rare series of six 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings of Donald Duck in uniform with his gun, marching. This is from the ending of the film at 6:59, when he is watching over Pete, who is in the stockade in a straight jacket, asking Donald to tell the captain he's not crazy. A marching sequence of six in World War II theme is rare. Each image is graphite with images of 5". Drawings are numbers 2, 7, 14, 19, 25, and 42. Beautiful sequence of Private Donald Duck! Minor handling. Fine condition.
