The Vanishing Private Donald Duck Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1942). "The Army's not the Army anymore... it's better than it's ever been before!" sings Private Donald Duck in his second army theatrical short. This cartoon was directed by Jack King from a story written by the great Duck Man himself, Carl Barks. It was released on 9/25/42, and starred Donald Duck along with Sergeant Pete. This is a rare marching sequence of three 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings of Donald in full uniform with his rifle. This is from the ending of the short at 6:59, when Donald is standing guard over Pete, who is in the brig wearing a straight-jacket. He is asking Donald to tell the Captain, "I'm not crazy!" This World War II propaganda short sequence is considered very rare. Great graphite images, measuring 5". Minor handling and edge wear; Fine condition.
