Description
The Two Mouseketeers Tom and Nibbles Animation Drawing Group of 2 (MGM, 1952). From the William Hanna and Joe Barbera-directed Tom and Jerry theatrical short The Two Mouseketeers, presented is a rare set of two original animation drawings of Tom and the mouse Nibbles, the young French-speaking protégé of Jerry. The Two Mouseketeers took home the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film, and such was the short's success that Hanna and Barbera created a total of four adventures in the Mouseketeers series. This excellent image of Tom chopping up an apple to find the hiding mouse can be seen at approximately 6:57 mark of the film, and Nibbles can be seen a few seconds later, as seen on YouTube. In addition, this set is accompanied by a Linda Jones Certificate of Authenticity. These 12 field drawings feature the characters at 11" x 8" and 2.25" x 1.5" respectively. They are rendered in graphite and red pencil, and numbered 59 and 18 in the lower right corners. Minor handling and edge wear with slight age-related toning, the condition of this fantastic set of two is Very Good.Auction Info
