DescriptionThe Steeple Chase Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933). Mickey is a jockey in this short. When his horse Thunderbolt finds a bottle of gin and guzzles it, Mickey is forced to get two stable boys in a horse costume as a replacement for his tipsy steed. Nothing could go wrong -- right? They are lagging behind in the big race until they hit a bee hive at one of the fence jumps. This is an outstanding 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing of Mickey with the bees attacking him. It can be seen around the 5:23 mark. This short was directed by Bert Gillett and released on 9/30/33. Great graphite image with bee attack effects. Overall image is 5" tall! Minor handling and edge wear; Fine condition.
