DescriptionThe Practical Pig Publicity Drawing by Hank Porter (Walt Disney, 1939). "Remember, this is going to hurt me, more than it will hurt you!" says Practical Pig. His two pig brothers have lied about going swimming, and are getting the Paddle Machine treatment in this fantastic drawing. The Practical Pig was the fourth and final "Three Little Pigs" short. It was directed by Dick Rickard and released on 2/24/39. This is a rare Hank Porter (1900 - 1951) original detailed publicity drawing of the ending scene of the two pigs getting paddled. The art is in graphite with red pencil highlights on a 12 field 5-peghole animation sheet. This short had its own comic book and Good Housekeeping page, as well as other uses. Hank Porter's "P" signature is on bottom right of the drawing. A rip through the right side of the artwork page occurred at some point, and it was repaired with tape on the reverse side; the old tape has since stained the paper. Fortunately, the rip did not go through the images of the pig characters. In Fair condition, with minor handling and edge wear.
