Description

The Practical Pig Practical Pig Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939). "He's got 'em!" The ever-reliable Practical Pig discovers his brothers have been kidnapped by the Big Bad Wolf in this tense 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing from the Dick Rickard-directed Silly Symphony. This beloved classic was the second to last Silly Symphony overall, following the Big Bad Wolf as he tried and failed to capture all three pigs. This fantastic and centered full-figure drawing is skillfully rendered in graphite with color pencil. It can be found at about the 4:32 mark after Practical Pig reads the letter that the wolf blew under his door. The writing looks to be from his brothers who plead for Practical to rescue them, but the pig knows it's really the Big Bad Wolf trying to trick him. Practical measures about 5.25'' x 4'', labeled 34 ½ in the lower right. Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear and faint age-related toning.
