Description

The Pointer Mickey Mouse and Bear Color Model Animation Drawing Group (Walt Disney, 1939). Mickey and Pluto go quail hunting, only to encounter a not-so-friendly bear in this milestone film that marked the beginning of Mickey's "modern" design; the cartoon was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Short Film. This series of five rare Color Model drawings features one Mickey and four Bear images, drawn in graphite with added gouache. Each drawing is marked with a Disney stamp as "Color Model Return to Color Department" on 12 field 5-peghole paper. Mickey is a smiling 4", while the Bear images are all 9"; one Bear is in graphite only, while the others have some degree of paint. Slight edge wear and small tears, nowhere near the images; overall Very Good condition.
