DescriptionThe Perils of Penelope Pitstop Ice Show Story/Layout Drawing Original Art (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1970s). This show was a spin-off from the popular Wacky Races series. It premiered on CBS on 9/13/69; 17 episodes were made, with Janet Waldo providing the voice of Penelope Pitstop. This is a rare original pen and ink and marker artwork of the Hooded Claw and the Ant Hill Mob (Clyde, Dum Dum, Pockets, Snoozy, Softly, Yak Yak, and Zippy). It was done for a Hanna-Barbera Ice Show that featured their studio's characters. This great story/layout artwork was done by Phil Mendez. Note all the villain characters of this show are on ice skates! Artwork is on paper measuring 11" x 9.5" mounted to a 12 field animation sheet. In the bottom border is written in pencil, "Ice Show 01 - 012." Very cool insight how the company levered their library of characters into licensing and cross promotions. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
