The New Spirit WWII Bomb Factory Storyboard (Walt Disney, 1942). "Taxes for American Factories... Working full blast... Taxes to bury the Axis!" This World War II Propaganda short starring Donald Duck was released by Walt Disney Studios in conjunction with the US Department of Treasury. It was released by the War Activities Committee of the Motion Pictures Industry, and directed by Wilfred Jackson with Ben Sharpsteen. It was nominated for an Academy Award, and helped to motivate citizens to pay their taxes promptly, to help finance the war effort. The short was released on 1/23/42, at the beginning of the US involvement in the War. This is an original storyboard, showcasing a US factory making bombs. It can be seen around the 4:37 mark into the short. This is a rare detailed pastel storyboard with great artwork, on black 5-peghole storyboard paper measuring 8" x 8.5". The number 7 is written on the bottom right corner. Some staples, tape and pinholes in upper borders. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
