DescriptionThe Mighty Hunters Canyon Kiddies Animation Drawing Sequences of 231 and 2 Studio Model Sheets (Warner Brothers, 1940). In 1939 Leon Schlesinger signed up James Swinnerton's popular comic strip "Canyon Kiddies" for a proposed series of animated cartoons and Chuck Jones was selected to direct them. The resultant cartoon, The Mighty Hunters, came out the following year. This is an original collection of 231 original animation drawings from different sequences in the film. Each one is on 12 field 2-peghole paper and most are numbered in the lower right corner. With the drawings are two photographic studio model sheets of Canyon Kiddies used in the production of this film. This is a remarkable production piece from Jones' early directorial days at Termite Terrace. The piece shows light handling and condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
