Description

The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933) In this well-known and much loved David Hand-directed short, pilot Mickey must get a chest of money delivered by way of a treacherous mountain route, with bad guy Pete chasing after him for the loot. Crafty Mickey keeps flying, even after his plane loses its wings and propeller; he's been harpooned by Pete, but that won't stop this brave little mouse from getting through! In this original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing, Mickey has just landed, after dragging Pete through some cactus plants -- ouch! Find it in online viewings at about the 6:52 mark. Art is in graphite, with an image area of approximately 10" x 4.25"; Mickey and his plane measure 5.5" x 3.25". The number 126 is written in the lower right corner. This drawing has been certified as genuine by CGC, which does not assign grades to animation artwork. Very light handling wear with a hint of paper toning along the outer edges. Fine condition.
