The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse Flying Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1933). Mickey pilots his mail plane through the upper snowy reaches in this sweet sequence of four original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings. The drawings are from one of Mickey Mouse's best early shorts, released on 6/13/1933 and directed by Dave Hand, featuring animation by Les Clark, Ham Luske, Jack Kinney, Ed Love, and Roy Williams. Brave Mickey flies up and over several mountains in this sequence. The drawing noted as 49 in the lower right corner can be seen at about the 3:20 timestamp; the main image of the airplane measures approximately 2.5" x 1.5". Next is drawing 147 which shows the 2.5" x 2" plane after it few over a mountain; see it at about the 3:23 mark. The third drawing is noted as 145 with a plane image measuring 1.5" x 2.75" as found at about the 3:26" mark. The final drawing is noted as 165 with an image size of 2.5" x 1.5"; find it at about the 3:27 timestamp. The images are in graphite, one with red pencil highlights. The drawings are in Very Good condition with light handling and some age-related paper toning.
