    Description

    The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). In this Dave Hand-directed short, Black (Peg Leg) Pete is an air pirate bent on capturing Mickey's mail plane . He uses a harpoon in this scene that begins around the 6:00 mark. This pair of early production drawings of Pete and Mickey in their planes are rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper and are numbered 92 and 10 respectively. These drawings, from the climactic conclusion of this Silly Symphony short, are finely detailed and date to the days when the world was fascinated with aviation. Both display handling and light edge wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
