Description
The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933). Presented in this lot is a beautiful 12 field animation drawing from the 1933 Mickey Mouse short The Mail Pilot. Directed by David Hand (1900 - 1986) and released on 6/13/1933, this animation follows Mickey the mail pilot as he battles the raging elements and the armed pilot Pete to deliver a chest of money to Minnie. The graphite drawing shows Mickey in a frozen plane avoiding snow covered mountains and can be found at about the 3:20 mark. The drawing measures a total of around 9.25'' x 4.5'' including the mountains while Mickey and his plane alone measure roughly 4.5'' x 3.25''. It is numbered 30 and presented in an 11.5'' x 8.25'' mat window. The mat is in a 20'' x 17'' frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
