The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse and Plane Animation Drawings Sequence of 8 (Walt Disney, 1933). In this short, Mickey Mouse is a brave mail pilot fighting rain, lightning, snow, mountains -- and Pete, in an effort to get a chest of money to Minnie Mouse. In the end, he prevails over all these obstacles. This short was directed by David Hand, and released to theaters on 5/13/33. This is a great sequence of eight detailed 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings of Mickey flying through the snow and over the mountain peaks in his quest to deliver the mail (and Minnie's money). Amazing detail, drawn in graphite with some red pencil highlights. Images are approximately 3" each. Drawings are numbered as 2, 66, 75, 102, 139, 140, 151, and 155. You can see this sequence in the cartoon beginning around the 3:20 mark. This storyline was also used in the Mickey Mouse newspaper comic strip story that ran from 2/27 to 6/10 in 1933. Rare sequence from a classic cartoon! Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
