The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse and Pete Animation Drawing Group 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). The air pirate Pete harpoons Mickey's plane in this incredible set of two original animation drawings from The Mail Pilot. Created for the moments seen at the 5:56 and 5:59 marks of the film, these wonderful original animation drawings depict Mickey and the villainous Pete from the dramatic final scene. This beloved classic theatrical short was released on 5/13/1933, directed by the great David Hand. It is famously the first cartoon featuring Billy Bletcher as the voice of Pete, who would continue providing the voice until 1960. These impressive and kinetic drawings are rendered masterfully in graphite on two sheets of 12 field animation paper. The drawings are displayed in a shared Plexiglas frame measuring 33" x 16.25". The window sizes are 11" x 8" and 11" x 5.5", arranged in a way to look like a single image. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
