Description

The Little Mermaid King Triton and Ursula Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1989). We have in this lot a fantastic pair of animation drawings from Disney's 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid, featuring remarkable portraits of Ariel's father, King Triton, and the wicked sea witch Ursula. This Academy Award-winning Disney movie premiered on November 17, 1989, and is credited as launching the Disney Renaissance. These two 12-field three-peghole animation drawings are rendered in graphite and red colored pencils, showing King Triton (10.5" x 8") similar to what we see at the 13:14 timestamp, and the frightful Ursula (8.25" x 6.5") as she shows up at the 42:27, during the "Poor Unfortunate Souls" musical scene. Both drawings present reinforced pegholes and mild handling and edge wear from production. In Very Good condition.
