Description

The Little Mermaid Ariel Rough Extreme Animation Drawing by Glen Keane (Walt Disney, 1989). "Wouldn't you think I'm the girl, the girl who has everything?" Ariel yearns for life out of the sea in this incredible rough animation drawing from the highly acclaimed "Part of Your World" sequence, written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Howard Ashman (1950 - 1991). This large-image drawing, rendered in graphite on 16 field paper, beautifully captures the young mermaid's emotion and desire for more. The drawing was created by Disney Legend Glen Keane, who was Ariel's character designer as well as supervising animator. He has worked on numerous Disney features including memorable titles like Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, and Treasure Planet; and he was named a Disney Legend in 2013. The centered image has an impressive measurement of about 7.25'' x 9.75'' and was created for the memorable moment at roughly 15:33. The drawing is numbered 19 in the top right along with the word "girl" from Ariel's song. With only minor edge and handling wear and three small tape pieces on the back, this animation drawing is in Very Good condition.
