Description
The Little Mermaid Ariel Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1989). "The witch was watching the mirror, and she singin' with a stolen set of pipes! Do you hear what I'm tellin' you?" Scuttle declares to Ariel and Sebastian after he spies Ursula disguised as Vanessa singing into a mirror about her evil plot to marry the Prince. Offered in this lot is an exquisitely detailed image of Ariel as a human. It is considered rare to find production art of a full-figure Ariel with legs, and this image even shows all ten of her toes! With a look of shock, Ariel can be spotted near the 1:07:20 mark of the film. The artwork was drawn in graphite and color pencil on 16 field animation paper. Ariel's image measures 7" x 3.25" and is marked A-81 in the bottom right, with additional production codes visible along the lower edge of the page. Typical production handling with edge wear, superficial wrinkling, faint corner creasing, and reinforcement to some of the pegholes. Overall condition is Very Good.Auction Info
