Description
The Little Mermaid Ariel and Ursula Animation Drawing Signed by Ruben A. Aquino (Walt Disney, 1989). "Now, here's the deal." Ursula knows how to give a sales pitch, and she's offering everything Ariel wants on a silver platter - for a price, of course. The enormous, stunning 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing in this lot captures the moment the sea witch begins to lay out the terms of their deal at roughly 41:36 during dialogue in "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and was masterfully rendered and signed by Ruben A. Aquino. Aquino began his successful career at Disney in 1982 and has supervised animation for Ursula, Maurice, Shang, Pleakley, Denahi, and many more in his time at the studio. Measuring approximately 12.5'' x 9.5'', the drawing includes a timing chart, the dialogue note "the" in the upper right, and a dedication that reads "To my good friend Jaques, Best wishes," with Aquino's signature. The page is marked as a key drawing or animator's extreme with a circled 25 in the lower right corner and is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint edge creasing.Auction Info
