Description

The Lion King Original Story Development Art by Thom Enriquez (Walt Disney, 1994). By the hand of legendary storyboard artist Thom Enriquez, we present an outstanding original story development drawing from The Lion King. Production art from the film is difficult to find as it was animated digitally, and this drawing is so detailed and dramatic that you know some kind of power struggle is at play in the Pride Lands. At approximately 15'' x 5.5'' on 16 field paper, the concept bears the same production sticker number as an earlier version of the wildebeest stampede and the central lion is likely Scar watching as his plan to kill Mufasa and Simba begins to fall into place. Another lion follows him, adding some additional changes to the scene as we know it. The page includes extensive production codes and notes and is numbered 132 with a production sticker. The initial concept has been trimmed and taped to the page, and is in Very Good condition with only light edge and handling wear.
From the Noted Disney Concept and Story Artist Thom Enriquez Collection.
