The Klondike Kid Mickey Mouse Animation Drawings Sequence of 6 (Walt Disney, 1932). When Mickey Mouse, piano player at a rough-and-tumble Alaskan saloon, gets stuck in a barrel during a big fight with Peg Leg Pete, there's only one thing for our hero to do -- bust out! Here's a sequence of six of original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from this Wilfred Jackson-directed cartoon, which arrived at theaters on 11/12/32. The sequence begins at the 3:43 mark and continues through to 3:46. The drawings are in graphite with some added red, blue, and green pencil, and are numbered 42 (Mickey inside barrel, running through the snow, image size 5" x 2"); #59 (Mickey still in barrel, image size 3.5" x 2.75"); #82 (barrel with Mickey's feet hanging out starts to fall over, image size 4.5" x 4"); #94 (Mickey crashes through the barrel, image 6" x 3.25"); #101 (Mickey sitting with pieces of the barrel still around him, image 2" x 2.5"); and #112 (Mickey running with barrel hoop and pieces of wood still hanging to him, image 2.5" x 2.25"). Handling and edge wear, with paper toning; drawing #101 is moderately toned along the edges, less so on the others. Good to Very Good condition.
