DescriptionThe Klondike Kid Mickey Mouse and Pluto Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932). In this wild and wooly short directed by Wilfred Jackson, Mickey is a piano player in a rough saloon; he saves Minnie from starving in the cold, only to lose her when Peg Leg Pete grabs her and heads for his cabin. The result; Mickey to the rescue, on a sleigh pulled by Pluto! Here's a very cool sequence of original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings of Mickey cracking the whip to get Pluto going; you can see this sequence online at the 3:48-49 mark. There are four drawings of Mickey and his bullwhip, with figure sizes of 2.25" (drawings #85 and 94) and 2.5" (drawing #134). Pluto and the sleigh are in the remaining two drawings, with overall image sizes of 8.5" (drawing #42x) and 9.5" (drawing #47x). Art is in graphite, with added green and red pencil on the two pages featuring Pluto, both of which have reinforced pegholes. Condition is Very Good, with minor paper toning and edge wear.
