Description
The Jetsons "Millionaire Astro" G.P. Gottrockets and Withers Layout Drawing Group of 4 (Hanna-Barbera, 1963). Offered in this lot is a generous helping of four original layout drawings created for The Jetsons episode "Millionaire Astro." By the hand of the great character designer/layout artist Dick Bickenbach, these drawings are rendered in graphite and color pencil on sheets of 12 field animation paper. Originally airing on 1/6/1963, this episode tells the story of the wealthy G.P. Gottrockets, who attempts to take Astro away from the Jetsons, claiming that Astro is really his dog. These excellent drawings feature Gottrockets (closely resembling Mr. Spacely) and his lawyer Withers, rendered in graphite an color pencil on 12 field animation paper. All bear the hand-written production code V-16. Minor handling and edge wear with light tearing on some edges and pegholes, and some age-related toning.
