Description

The Hockey Champ Donald Duck Animation Drawing Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1939). "Do you call that hockey?" Donald asks, laughing at Huey, Dewey, and Louie's attempts to play. This attitude doesn't help him when he tries to teach them the rules, showing off rather than encouraging and teaching them. This, of course, makes them stop listening to him entirely. They play a few tricks and turn the tables on him instead, landing him in the net with his nephews laughing. This remarkable trio of three can be found at about the 1:41 mark of the short after the boys crowd around the puck, trying to hit it into the net. The drawings are rendered in graphite with color pencil and range from about 4.75'' x 3.75'' to 3.75'' x 5'', centered on the page. They are marked 11 ½, 36 ½, and 99 in the lower right. Very Good condition overall with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, and faint superficial wrinkles away from the image.
