The Hep Cat Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1942). This cartoon is classic Bob Clampett with a happy-go-lucky, cat-about-town who envisions himself another Victor Mature pitted against a dull-witted dog named Rosebud. The pair of original production drawings of Hep Cat and Rosebud are rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole paper. The cat measures 4.5" x 3" and is from the start of the short around the 0:35 mark. Rosebud measures 6" x 4" and appears at the 2:43 mark. This is a great set of drawings from a cartoon directed by one of Warner Brothers most celebrated and innovative animators. Both drawings show handling and Rosebud's paper has a paperclip stain at the top. Condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
