Description

The Goddess of Spring Persephone and Pluto Animation Drawings (Walt Disney, 1934). Here are two vintage drawings of Persephone and Pluto from the Wilfred Jackson-directed Silly Symphony short, The Goddess of Spring. This short subject film was the first attempt by Disney animators to animate 'realistic' human figures, in preparation for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The drawings were rendered in graphite and red pencil on 12 field, 2-peghole animation paper and housed in a single Plexiglas-fronted frame of 25" x 16". The frame has a double aperture matboard with openings of 11" x 9" and 6" x 9". Frame sold as-is. Mild age-related toning with reinforced pegholes. Condition is Very Good.
