DescriptionThe Fox and the Hound Tod Animation Drawings Group of 18 (Walt Disney, 1981). The Fox and the Hound tells the story of two unlikely friends, a red fox named Tod and a hound dog named Copper, who struggle to preserve their friendship despite their emerging instincts and the surrounding social pressures demanding them to be adversaries. From The Fox and the Hound we have a fantastic sequence of 18 rough animation drawings. The drawings were rendered in graphite on pan-sized animation paper measuring 22.5" x 11.5". In traditional animation, the first drawings are called roughs or rough drawings because they are often done in a very loose fashion. The roughs are used for pencil tests to be approved by the director. Good animation roughs from a major studio are a "must have" for any discerning collector of animation art. These rough drawings are actual working production art and thus show some degree of wear from normal handling and use. The piece numbered T-1 has significant edge wear even though the other 17 pieces have little or no edge wear. Condition is Good to Very Good.
