The Fox and the Hound Rare Big Mama Animation Drawing Sequence of 12 (Walt Disney, 1981). "I mean, you've got a nerve. Why don't you grow up?" "Tod, that's no way to talk to Vixey." This lot features a rare sequence of 12 16 field 3-peghole animation drawings from The Fox and the Hound. The aptly named Big Mama watches over Tod as he grows, even going to far as to help him find new friends and a mate in the forest. This beautiful sequence can be found at about the 1:04:57 mark of the film after Tod embarrasses himself in the river and lashes out at Vixey. Big Mama rushes in to chastise him, saving his budding relationship with the vixen. The full figure graphite drawings of this loveable character range from about 2.5'' x 2.75'' to roughly 3.25'' x 2.25''. Most of the drawings are very close in sequence and five are animators extremes with hand-written timing charts. All include an official studio stamp in the lower left. A sequence like this of Big Mama is truly exceptional and this lot includes the highly sought-after first in the sequence! Very Good condition overall with faint edge-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, and faint creasing.Auction Info
