    Description

The Flintstones Sunday Comic Strip Original Art by Harvey Eisenberg dated 2-18-61 (McNaught Syndicate, 1961). The Flintstones TV series premiered in 1960 and was an instant hit. A daily and Sunday newspaper comic strip was brought to market in 1961. While Gene Hazelton is usually credited with doing the Flintstones strip, this one was done by Harvey Eisenberg. Harvey was doing the bulk of the Yogi Bear strip art, and eventually concentrated only on that. This is a very rare Harvey Eisenberg Sunday from February 18, 1961. Top border marks this as "#22 'Homing Pigeons' H. Eisenberg." Great Wilma and Fred story; a very early strip in this series. Drawn in ink on Bristol board measuring 23" x 29". Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
