Description

The Flintstones Original Fred Production Drawing (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1960s). This original vintage production drawing features Fred Flintstone from an early episode of The Flintstones, captured in a classic domestic moment as he appears to open a cabinet door-very likely in search of a snack. Illustrated in graphite on 12 field-size animation paper and numbered 21A in the lower right corner, the drawing presents a nicely centered, full-body image of Fred standing approximately 7" tall. Despite his loud, blustery, and often exasperating demeanor, Fred Flintstone is rarely malicious. His actions are typically driven by impulse rather than ill intent, and throughout the series he consistently demonstrates loyalty, generosity, and genuine affection for those around him. While he frequently tests Wilma's patience with childish antics, Fred ultimately proves himself to be a caring husband and devoted father, often going to great lengths to make amends when he goes too far. This expressive drawing captures Fred's everyday charm and relatability, making it a wonderful example of early Hanna-Barbera character animation. A terrific piece of vintage production art, presented in Very Good condition.
