The Flintstones Background Layout Drawings Group of 3 (Hanna-Barbera, 1961). In the first season episode "Girls Night Out," Fred cuts a record at the "Make a Record of Your Voice" booth at the amusement park and leaves it there. The recording is then picked up by "Keen Teen Record Company" and Fred is suddenly a star. This episode was first aired on 1/6/61. This is a series of three original 12 field background layout drawings of the "Make a Record of Your Voice" booth, the Rockadero Hall with a Hi Fye (Fred's alias) banner, and Fred's Bedrock home. All are attributed to Dick Bickenbach, and drawn in graphite on 12 field animation paper. The detail is amazing. All three are labeled with P - 13 production number and BG numbers. Minor handling and edge wear, otherwise Fine condition. Very rare detailed Season One Flintstones art!

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
