Description

The Dognapper Mickey Mouse and Long-Billed Donald Duck (Walt Disney, 1934). Mickey and Donald race to rescue Minnie's stolen pup, Fifi, on their motorcycle in this David Hand-directed short. The two take the role of police officers in this 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing and get her back from the dastardly Peg-Leg Pete. You can find this scene at about 2:03 in the short as the pair approach the bridge during the high-speed chase. The short was Donald's first adventure with Mickey and includes Clarence Nash's (1904 - 1985) first and only performance as Mickey. The two are rendered in graphite and measure around 4.25'' x 2.25'' combined. The page numbers 10 in the top and bottom right. It is presented in an 11'' x 9.5'' mat window and an 17'' x 15'' Plexiglas frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. There is minor handling wear and light age-related toning with a tiny indent, superficial wrinkles, and reinforced pegholes. Overall, the two are in Very Good condition.
