Description

The Dognapper Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). In this lot is a highly coveted long-billed Donald Duck animation drawing. Donald went through several re-designs since his introduction in 1934. His first big update included shortening his beak in 1936 and as a result, long-billed Donald art is extremely rare and highly sought after. Presented here is a long-billed Donald from his first theatrical appearance alongside Mickey. The short was directed by Dave Hand and released in theaters 11/17/34. The beautifully detailed full-figure image measures 3" x 4" and is rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole paper numbered 71 in the lower right. The image of Donald in police uniform appears around the 00:55 mark. Minor handling and age related toning. Condition is Very Good.
