The Country Bear Jamboree Painting (Walt Disney, 1970s). Walt Disney Imagineer Marc Davis was assigned the task to develop the theme park attraction, The Country Bear Jamboree. It opened in Disney World on 10/1/71, Disneyland on 3/24/72, and in Tokyo Disneyland on 4/15/83. This is an original WED painting of the Country Bears Band -- Big Fred on mouth harp, Brother Ted on the jug, Cousin Zeb on fiddle, Zeke on the banjo, and the Tennessee Bear on upright bass. This attraction even had a feature film made out of it in 2002. This is purportedly the original painting that was used to make the official portrait print that hung in the queue area of the Country Bear Playhouse at Disneyland. The watercolor on paper painting was created by Imagineers at WED. As a bonus this painting is signed by the man behind the genius of this attraction and Disney Legend Inductee, Marc Davis. Framed and matted to an image area of 13.25" x 13.75". Fine condition.
