Description

The Bugs Bunny Show Elmer Fudd Layout Drawings Sequence of 4 (Warner Brothers, c. 1960s). "The other day Porky Pig and I were talking..." Elmer Fudd breaks the fourth wall to address the audience in this unique sequence of four original Looney Tunes animation layout drawings. A layout drawing is a sample sketch that shows how multiple characters, objects, effects, and background elements will work together to create a final key scene. They can also indicate camera placement so that the frame is captured correctly during production. Dressed in his hunting gear but surprisingly without his gun, Elmer stands directly center illustrated from his hips to the bow atop his hat at 3.75" x 9" in three frames with a fourth having only an unfinished sketch of his head measuring 3.5" x 4.25". All four drawings are rendered on 12 field animation paper with a combination of graphite and blue pencil, and include multiple production notes and direction as well as portions of two of Elmer's lines from the sequence. Three of the pages have had the pegholes trimmed. With typical handling and edge wear (including some creasing on the left edge of the unfinished head page), these drawings are in Very Good condition.
