    Description

The Black Cauldron Title Pan Animation Drawing by David Jonas (No Publisher, 0). Most movie fans have seen the work of writer/artist David Jonas, in posters and advertising for films like Back to the Future II, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Airplane!, as well as several Ralph Bakshi films like The Lord of the Rings and Hey Good Lookin'. He also designed titles for Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Here is his rough credits title page for The Black Cauldron with the names of several voice actors, which are lightly penciled in blue. The border art is in graphite, and it's a delight; a great image of Gurgi as he waves to several of the Fair Folk who fly by or sit on mushrooms. The art in on a 30" x 12.5" sheet of animation paper, with an overall image area of approximately 18" x 8.75". The paper is folded down the middle, which has left a slight crease; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
