Description
The Black Cauldron Inside the Horned King's Castle Storyboards plus Film Credits Brochure Group (Walt Disney, 1985). When Taran sneaks into the Horned King's castle after the Gwythaint carried Hen Wen away, he is quickly captured by the King's henchmen, who have been celebrating the pig's capture, in this set of six original storyboard drawings by David Jonas (1926 - 2014). Storyboards are the starting visual point in any animated project; this is where ideas are fleshed out, discarded, added-to, or altered to best fit the final film. This group of storyboard art is in graphite, ink, marker, and color pencils on paper; the image of the henchmen's faces appears to be a black and white Xerox print with added graphite, while the color image of Creeper includes an art correction made by the artist. Paper sizes vary, from 6.5" x 4.75" to 11" x 5", mounted 2-up on 14" x 11" backing sheets. With the art is a 3-panel folder (folded size 9" x 12") brochure listing film crew credits. Storyboards have minor handling wear and tack holes. Good to Very Good condition.Auction Info
