The Big Bad Wolf Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1934). Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Everyone -- except Practical Pig, of course! Here are two great original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from this, the second of four "Three Little Pigs" Silly Symphony shorts. This Burt Gillett-directed cartoon was released to theaters on 4/13/34 (yes, it was a Friday the Thirteenth!), and added Little Red Riding Hood and her Grandma from the Wolf's other famous fairy tale to the cast. The first of the two drawings can be seen at the 3:21 mark in online viewings, as Fifer Pig, Fiddler Pig, and Little Red Riding Hood react to the Wolf, who has attempted to fool them by dressing up as Goldilocks the Fairy Queen, a disguise which is quickly seen thorough. This is a tight rendering in graphite, with Fifer Pig's hat flying off his head; it's numbered 127 in the lower right. The second graphite drawing occurs a bit later, at the 5:03 mark; this is where the Wolf has made it to Grandma's house, just entered the door and ready to pounce on Grandma's bed. Image size for the first drawing is 6" x 4", while the second drawing is 7" x 5", with reinforced pegholes. The drawings are in Very Good condition overall, with light paper toning and minor handling wear.
