The Autograph Hound Greta Garbo and Clark Gable Animation Drawings Sequence of 5 (Walt Disney, 1939). Gable's back and Garbo's got him, until she sees Donald Duck wandering nearby! All the motion picture stars love The Duck, in this fan-favorite short. It was directed by Jack King, and released to theaters on 9/1/39. For fans of the Golden Age of Hollywood, this sequence of five original 12 field 5-peghole drawings is extra special! The sequence can be seen first at the 6:48 mark, as Greta gets Clark in a clinch (on the sheet noted as 29½); she then raises up, turning her head (#42), lets go of Clark, who starts to drop out of sight (#54), reaches into the top of her gown, lifting one of her enormous feet in the process (#69), and then heads off in the opposite direction, her autograph book in hand, and another running gag shot of her plus-size shoe (#80). The art is in graphite with blue and red pencil underdrawings, with nice large image sizes ranging from 3" x 5.5" up to 7" x 7". Moderate handling wear, with reinforced pegholes on some pages. Good overall condition.
